WebOps / Maintenance
Your platform needs to be maintained by people who understand it.
Your website is not a project you finish. It is infrastructure you operate. We build, migrate, and maintain Drupal, WordPress, and headless platforms where the website drives real business outcomes.

What good platform maintenance looks like
Maintenance keeps your platform ready for what comes next.
Most organizations treat website maintenance as reactive: something breaks, someone calls the agency. By then the damage is done. We approach maintenance as proactive care: continuous monitoring, planned update cycles, and a team that understands both what is inside your platform and why your business relies on it.
What proactive maintenance covers
Looked after, before it becomes a problem.
From security and performance to SEO and answer-engine optimization, we keep the signals that matter in good health, so your platform stays fast, findable, and ready for how people and AI search today.
What healthy looks like
Green across the board, and kept that way.
We maintain the signals that decide how your site performs and how easily people and AI can find it: speed, accessibility, SEO, and answer-engine readiness.

Security updates
Security releases for your CMS and its dependencies applied promptly, tested in a staging environment, and deployed with a change log. You are not scrambling when a critical advisory drops.
Core & dependency updates
Planned update cycles for your CMS core, modules, plugins, and packages. Updates applied, tested, and reviewed before they reach production.
Performance monitoring
Ongoing monitoring of page speed, Core Web Vitals, server response times, and uptime. Issues flagged before they affect the people using your site.
SEO & AEO health
Ongoing checks on technical SEO and answer-engine readiness: indexability, redirects, structured data, and the structured content that lets search engines and AI assistants understand and cite your site.
Backup & recovery
Regular, tested backups and a documented recovery process you can rely on the moment you need it.
Accessibility & compliance
Periodic accessibility reviews to catch regressions introduced through content or code updates. Particularly important for organizations in regulated industries.
How our maintenance engagements work
Flexible arrangements built around your platform and team.
We do not sell off-the-shelf maintenance packages. Every engagement is scoped around your platform, your team’s internal capacity, and your risk tolerance. The common patterns are below.
Most common
Retainer-based maintenance
A monthly retainer covering security and core updates, performance monitoring, backups, and a defined hours allocation for ad hoc support and minor development. Most common for mid-market organizations with an internal marketing team and limited developer capacity.
Comprehensive
Managed platform support
A more comprehensive arrangement for organizations where the platform is complex, traffic is high, or the internal team needs a reliable technical partner. Includes proactive monitoring, a named senior contact, and priority response times.
Post-launch
Project-based maintenance
For organizations that need their platform stabilised after a build or migration before moving into ongoing care. Typically a fixed-term engagement covering the immediate post-launch period.
Why it matters who maintains it
The best maintenance comes from a team that understands your codebase and your business goals.
Plenty of providers can apply an update. The difference shows when a judgement call has to be made. A team that understands your platform’s architecture can update it faster, triage issues more accurately, and know when a change needs careful handling.
What sets us apart is that we also understand why your website exists: the business goals behind it, the role it plays for your audience, and what a good outcome looks like. That context shapes every maintenance decision we make, from what to prioritize to when to push back.
It is also why many of our maintenance relationships start with the team that delivered the original build or migration. They already know the codebase, and they know the goals it was built to serve.

Frequently asked questions.
Maintenance and managed support, answered.
What is included in a website maintenance retainer?
Security updates, core and contrib updates, uptime and performance monitoring, regular tested backups, and an hours allocation for ad hoc support. Specific scope is defined per engagement based on your platform and team.
How quickly do you apply security updates?
Critical security updates are typically applied within 24 to 48 hours of release, tested in a staging environment first. Minor security updates follow the planned monthly update cycle.
Which content management systems do you maintain?
Our process is the same across Drupal, WordPress, HubSpot Content Hub, Contentful, and Sanity: proactive update cycles, staged testing, performance monitoring, and a named contact who understands both your platform and your goals.
What happens when something breaks outside business hours?
We have an agreed escalation process for every managed support client. Critical incidents, such as a site going down or a security breach, are responded to outside business hours. The scope of after-hours support is agreed upfront.
Can you take over maintenance of a platform you did not build?
Yes. We typically begin with a platform audit to understand the architecture, the update history, and any outstanding technical debt before moving into ongoing maintenance.
